The Australian Professional Photography Awards are held annually, organized by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP). Professional photographers from Australia and New Zealand compete for a number of industry awards. The Canon AIPP APPA attracts thousands of entries for multiple categories of photography.
This year, Peter Lik has been honored with the premier photo book award, "The Canon AIPP Book of the Year” for his striking landscape photography in his “25 Year Anniversary Book.”
All winners of this year’s awards were announced June 7th in Melbourne, following three days of critiquing by a judging panel, comprised of some of Australia and New Zealand's leading professional photographers.

AIPP Queensland (Australian Institute of Professional Photography) has awarded Peter Lik three more prestigious awards in its Professional Photographer of the Year Awards for 2010.

Internationally-acclaimed landscape photographer Peter Lik, was awarded a Top Ten prize from The North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA) for his work, "Pele's Whisper.” The moonlight shot of the Kilauea Volcano, on Kalapana, the Big Island of Hawaii, also received the distinction of being the first image to ever be featured as a wrap cover (front and back) for the association’s annual Expressions publication.

Peter Lik was recently awarded the Master of Photography by the PPA for excellence in photography. As a master landscape photographer this award has a special significance to Mr. Lik.

With National Breast Cancer Awareness Month underway, photographer Peter Lik, world-renowned for his awe-inspiring panoramic landscape images, is proud to join Nevada Cancer Institute in its fight against cancer. In his effort to help raise awareness and save lives, Lik is pleased to announce that he is donating 5 percent of the proceeds from the sales of “Blush”—one of his singular works—to support this great organization.
