With National Breast Cancer Awareness Month underway, photographer Peter Lik, world-renowned for his awe-inspiring panoramic landscape images, is proud to join Nevada Cancer Institute in its fight against cancer. In his effort to help raise awareness and save lives, Lik is pleased to announce that he is donating 5 percent of the proceeds from the sales of “Blush”—one of his singular works—to support this great organization. Peter Lik Fine Art Photography will continue to donate accordingly until the image has entirely sold-through its 950 limited additions. Lik’s image, “Blush” symbolizes the power of pink, while capturing the serenity of the human race and its place in nature. The piece is available in a variety of sizes—with an average sales price of $5,000 —which, as Director of Marketing Annette Fortuner suggests, “Is an affordable way to own Peter Lik photography, while supporting breast cancer awareness, and helping to save lives.” In his own words, the photographer describes the piece: “Twilight is my favorite time of the day for shooting. Whether dusk or dawn, the quality and mood of the light is unequaled. I’ll never forget this particular morning, sitting on the sands of Hervey Bay in front of this weather torn timber jetty. The endless ocean stretched out before me, and the pastel hues of a sunrise palette cast their glow over the horizon. The simplicity and tranquility of the image conveys exactly how I felt at the time.” Nevada Cancer Institute is the official cancer institute for the State of Nevada. A nonprofit organization, it is committed to reducing the burden of cancer by pursuing the development of a comprehensive cancer center, as defined by the National Cancer Institute.
